Volleyball Skills Class — Youth 16 & Under

What we do

  • High-intensity, skill-focused sessions built to accelerate development in every phase of the game: passing, setting, serving, attacking, blocking, and defensive positioning.

  • Structured progressions that blend technical fundamentals with game-speed drills and competitive situational play.

  • Athletic development work integrated into every class: movement mechanics, core strength, jump training, and agility specific to volleyball.

Who it's for

  • Youth athletes age 16 and under who want to improve quickly — from beginners who want a rock-solid foundation to club players looking for an edge.

  • Players committed to growing their skill set, competing with purpose, and improving athleticism on and off the court.

Class format

  • Warm-up & movement prep (10–15 min): dynamic mobility, footwork ladders, and sport-specific activation.

  • Technical block (20–25 min): focused rep work on a single skill (e.g., passing platform, hand contact for setting, serving mechanics).

  • Transition & attack training (20 min): approach timing, footwork for hitters, setter-hitter connection drills.

  • Game-speed drills & situational play (20 min): 2v2/3v3, controlled scrimmages, serve-receive patterns, defensive reads.

  • Athletic development & conditioning (10–15 min): plyometrics, short-burst speed, core stability, injury-prevention exercises.

  • Cool-down & coach feedback (5–10 min): targeted cues, homework drills, and progress tracking.

Class sizes & coaching

  • Small group format (limited spots) to guarantee high reps and individualized correction.

  • Led by certified Volleyball H.I.T. Instructor and Athletics Training Coach C.J., with assistant coaches to ensure close supervision.

  • Video analysis and verbal cues used for immediate corrections and long-term growth.

Progress tracking & communication

  • Skills baseline and monthly reassessments to show measurable improvement.

  • Coaches provide drills and homework to practice between classes.

  • Regular parent/athlete updates on progress and recommended next steps.

Schedule & logistics

  • Sessions scheduled weekly with multi-week packages recommended for meaningful progress.

  • Drop-in option available when space allows.

  • All skill levels welcome — athletes grouped by age and ability for optimal learning.

What athletes gain

  • Faster ball handling, cleaner sets, more consistent serves, and higher, more controlled attacks.

  • Improved movement efficiency: quicker first steps, stronger vertical, and smarter court positioning.

  • Greater confidence, decision-making under pressure, and on-court leadership.
